Great episode…lots of good discussion, too! I’m never too fussed about alignment unless someone does something so egregious that I have to say something (stabbing orphans for example). However, my feeling on Lawful and Chaotic alignments are that Lawful is good and Chaotic is evil. I did double-check in Moldvay to make sure I wasn’t too off base. Here’s what he writes: “Lawful behavior is usually the same as behavior that could be called ‘good'” (B11). “Chaotic behavior is usually the same as behavior that could be called ‘evil'” (B11). Perhaps the words “good” and “evil” are (were) too loaded for a game, so Mr. Moldvay stuck with “Lawful” and “Chaotic.”
